Keep Praying
Greetings from sunny Scotland! Most of the year, it is rainy and windy up here, so far north, but today we’re experiencing a heatwave! Much has been going on in our church and our ministry since our last prayer letter. God continues to teach and encourage our family as well as providing for us in amazing and surprising ways. We are gearing up for a very busy summer, which we’re excited to tell you about and eager to have you pray for.
For the past several months, our church has been earnestly seeking God's wisdom and direction as we establish routines and find our rhythm. This journey has been a process of learning and growing, and it's particularly encouraging to witness not only our family's development but also the growth of everyone involved in the church. Since moving our service times from the afternoon to the morning, we have seen quite a change in our church body. Several individuals who were coming along from nearby churches in neighbouring communities have stopped attending to maintain membership in their churches, but we have also gained several new individuals from our own community. These new families have been so encouraging, and their excitement to have a Bible believing church in their town is infectious. While it was sad to see some people go, it is amazing to see God’s provision and sovereignty in the process. We are really seeing the identity of Forthside Christian Fellowship taking shape, and are seeing the gospel of Jesus going out and impacting lives among people in our community.

The kids have less than two weeks left of school for the year, and we have quite a few things planned for the summer. We are planning seven one-off events for kids over the break. These events range from learning to crochet, to nature walks, to messy crafts, and more. The day will include a meal, activities, and a Bible time. We are really hoping these are well attended and help to make inroads to the community. Quite a few people from the church are involved in these events, and it is great to see their willingness to step outside their comfort zone in order to minister in ways they see they are needed. We ask that you would please pray for these ministries to be fruitful - both in terms of reaching the community, and in giving opportunities for spiritual growth within those in our church now.
We are preparing for the official organization of Forthside Christian Fellowship, and part of that is planning our first baptism service! We hope to share more details on that soon, but please pray that God’s hand is in the whole process.
We have a young lady joining us for a couple of weeks, so we’d ask that you pray that God will use her time here in Scotland for His glory.
We know that many of you pray for our family and our church regularly, and that is such a huge blessing for us. God is answering those prayers! So please don’t stop. Keep praying for the gospel to go out, and pray that God will be turning hearts in Scotland to Him.
